Control is at the heart of IoT.  Control facilitates switching process and machines on and off operation.  A control device integrated in the OT network provides monitoring for telemetry and their metrics so that ranges and flowpath can be used to  reach outcomes of the equipments. 

Product in this category includes dedicated controllers like building management information systems for HVAC, air conditioning, door access, water and energy resources etc. Other examples can include transport signalling or gate openings, irrigation systems operations. On a higher level use like earth moving and plant starting or stopping.
